Last month, I had the honor of being a bridesmaid for 2 amazing friends. As I was packing my bag with typical items such as deodorant, protein bars, bandages, lint brush, and much more, I knew my survival kit would look at little different. And I am pretty sure everyone who was around our bride that day was grateful. I snapped this picture while preparing that morning and thought I’d share some of my go-to oils for wedding day survival.
Morning Pick Me Up – Starting early in the morning can be a little difficult for some (me), so we started out with a diffuser blend of Wild Orange, Peppermint, and Wintergreen. This combo created a calm, yet energizing environment.
Curling Iron Blues – On any wedding day there is a lot of hair spray and even more curing irons. I packed a little lavender for any skin irritations.
Calming The Bride – Once the afternoon came, the reality of what was happening and how little time was left to finish all those details set it. Cue restless bride syndrome (is that a thing?). In the diffuser, I combined a calming blend, grounding blend, and lavender and I also created a roller bottle to place the oils directly on the bride, and myself, as often as needed.
Oh My Feet! – These oils were actually for the day after. Not only did I spend over 12 hours on my feet, at least 4 of those were spent dancing in 4 inch wedges. I combined cypress and soothing blend for a gentle foot and lower leg massage.
